What does the converter have to do with the slide out? My slide out is wired to the battery.

Our Jaycos had an in-line fuse about 6" or so from the positive terminal of the battery. If you think you may have reversed polarity when installing the converter, you might check that fuse.

The slideouts on our Jaycos operated off of the battery. The converter shouldn't come into play (other than battery charging) insofar as slideout operation is concerned.

sorry, i was confused as to what my husband was saying, duh! the wiring on the slide out was cut and he rewired it but isn't sure how to make sure the 12v motor won't short everything out. he isn't real sure as to how the reverse on the motor is wired. hope this makes sense.
