Hi - have a 2002 Forest River Sandpiper, - 38bhds - love the trailer, hate the leak! We purchased it last fall and now we're seeing signs of leaking on the ceiling working their
way towards the center. Someone said that it's a TPO type roof and that there's nothing we can do! I'm seeking advise, help, thoughts. thanks a ton, -Sue

Is the roof rubber, fiberglass, or aluminum? There are various roof coatings that are easy to apply. Kool-Seal makes a good product as does Elixir Industries (Plas-T-Cote). You must determine the roof material and then use the proper coating.
Also, check the seals around all of the roof penetrations (i.e. vents, refer, skylights, etc.). They may also need to be resealed.

The new Sandpipers come with a rubber roof. Are you really sure yours is not rubber? Do you have any of the original documentation from when it was new?

It's a 2002 - I was told they moved to rubber in 2003.

I just found a reference on the web regarding a TPO Vinyl roof. If this is what you have now you just have to determine what products will work on vinyl.

Have you checked your A/C..? If you have checked all of the caulking and seems, the AC might be the problem.
It is not uncommon for RV's that have been bouncing down the highways for the AC to loosen a bit rendering the seal between the A/C and roof to less then efficient.. Remove the A/C cover inside the coach and there should be 4 nuts holding the A/C to the roof. Snug those up.. not necessary to overtighten them.
