2004 Coachmen Spirit of America 248

Looking to buy my first travel trailer and found a layout that I like about 75 miles from where I live. Wondering if anyone here has had or know of the 2004 Coachmen Spirit of America 248? Details give a rubber roof and I'm wondering how long they last before needing attention. Other than the obvious looking for water damage inside cabinets and seams what else should I be concerned with when checking it out.

Looked it up on RVNADA and the asking price is about 1,500 above the average retail.

Thanks for any thoughts on this.

I'm unfamiliar with that model. Make sure all the AC, Fridge, Furnace, Power converter, Water heater, and all the other systems work before purchase. Make sure the tires are good and not too old. And, the electric brakes should work too.

I had a 03 spirit of america 297rks and i cleaned and treated the roof every spring and fall ( I didn't have a RV cover and it stayed outdoors) and it looked like it was almost brand new. If you take care off it. It will last along time. Most last 12 to 15 years

I'm going to look at the 2004 Spirit of American travel trailer tomorrow. If it passes my inspection I think this is the one for me..... for now! Thanks for the responses.
