2015 USED Creekside 26RLS purchase checklist?

Looking at buying a used 2015 Creekside (according to the salesman it was a trade-in). Any suggestions for checking it out? How does used from a dealer differ from purchasing new and having them repair sub-par items?

Advice welcome.

Thanks in advance. wep

Hey bud, don't mean to leave you hanging. You could always call down to the factory and give them the vin number then ask them if anything has been done to it under warranty and when the warranties were activated. The warranties should be transferable. Here is my thoughts, you should be able to roughly negotiate less 20 present off the MSRP on a new unit. So do that math and keep it handy. You should be able to call your bank and get the NADA value of the used unit. Now compare the two numbers and make an educated decision on what works for you. FYI you can always call the factory to get the MSRP of the units. My guess is there will be very little difference between the new and used pricing. You might even get a better deal on the new depending on how much the dealer bought the used one for.

Agree w LBZYA on pricing. On the orig question...
-turn on gas, smell for leaks inside and out
-verify propane appliances (run furnace (gets gas in the lines quick), hot water heater, stove)
-turn fridge on auto, ensure it fires up on gas
-plug ac power in confirm all ac appliances, (tv, micro, ac, fridge operation, hot water heater)
-verify fridge switches over to ac on its own.
-fill fresh water tank w/a few gallons of water, run water pump, check all faucets (hot water?). Leave pump on. It should only run if a faucet is on (or there us a leak)
-look along the cieling/wall line for soft spots or water stains
-inspect the roof for open joints or tears in the roof membrane
-turn water pump off, connect fresh water hose. Verify flow from faucets.
-disconnect fresh water hose to ensure connector backflow valve works. (Plumbing should hold pressure after disconnect)

Regarding dealer treatment, I received a 90day extended warranty on a used trailer when the orig factory warranty had already expired. Luckily I didnt have to take it in. B-)
