3 burner stove cover

well, We are trying out the new camper and I decided to heat up some mac n cheese in the microwave. Not a problem as even a child can do it though when I took it out hot and placed the hot food which was in a paper bowl on the top of the stove cover it left a ring. ok, a ring can be caused by anything but this one was just from the heat. The best part is when I tried to wipe the ring away and realized I took som f the paint with it!, what a piece of garbage this cover is. My goodness we just bought it and put it on. Anyone have this happen?

I am just going. to get some Krylon or Rustoleoum black paint and repaint it. I may be better off getting oven paint so the next hot item won't leave a ring....,

Ours didn't even come with a cover. We got one of those cutting boards that fit over the burner top. More useful than the metal ones, just more $$.

Regular high quality automotive or outdoor furniture paint is best. High temp paint requires actual high temperatures to cure or it won't stick either.

X2 on the cutting board. We have one of the softer plastic ones. I put a 6x6in square of non slip shelf liner under it so it stays put when traveling and one of those padded drying pads on top. I believe the board was$10

I am really surprised at how cheap the paint is on this cover. I will think twice about buying camco products again.

Yeah, some of their stuff is ok, and some a little cheesy. You got to admit, they have a little bit of everything for RVing, though. If I remember right our wooden cutting board for the top of the stove is made by Camco, too, ha, ha.

Just take it off, they are worthless. And if they ever fall over it could knock
Hot food on to you.

mine is screwed in. I just cannot imagine how a hot paper bowl from the microwave would affect the paint on the stove cover.....

Remove grate. Apply pressure to
Back
And front. Push back, left front. It comes off. Or
Just take out the 2 screws on each side. The bottom will just fall down. Won't hurt a thing 😃

Atwood stove covers are cheap. And are a disaster waiting to happen if they fall over while cooking. I have had 4 RV's and taken all of them off.
