77 wilderness A/C installation

I searched the internet looking for an a/c install under the original fridge, didnt find much so i went at it the other day and just wanted to share with others what i did if they are looking to put one in a same or similar area.

The previous owner had removed the propane heating unit and it had the large space under the fridge.

first the the area behind the a/c to get ride of the heat out the back, built it from a sheet of 1 inch foam i got at lowes, all held together with liquid nails and drywall screws made to fit the opening on the back of the a/c unit and a vent grill i also got at lowes on the outside.

i had to cut the openeing larger on the outside and move the 2x2's into thier new location then screwed the grill on and sealed the edges with caulking

I built some uprights out of 2x4's that hold the a/c unit up off the floor, the side air intakes pull from under the unit and have alot of room all around the sides and top inside the area it is slid into where the old heater was.

got another vent from lowes and installed it under the unit then trimmed out around it, fired it up and we have cold air.

i am going to run it again for awhile and pull the lower vent grill to see where the drain water comes from and that will guide me to where to put the drain tube.

being low in the trailer a small fan helps to circulate the cold air at first to cool it down on a 90+ degree day
