81' Triple E

Hello everyone

Just picked up a 18' triple e tt. It's in great condition. No minor problems at all. The only thing broken is a marker light.
It's my first travel trailer so I'm no expert.

Any advice you guys could give would be greatly appreciated. Things to look for or potential problems, that kinda stuff.

I did also notice it rides low. It looks like it has some sort of torsion bar suspension. Is there anyway to raise it up a bit.

Thanks everyone

If the lens is gone or leaking, it could allow water into the trailer. If you remove the base, you might find a make and number you can look up to buy a replacement. If it's one of the group of 3 ICC lights, it might look better to replace all 3 so they match. (if you care) If it's on the side, being close to the original would be enough except for the real anal.

Your torsion bars could be tired or even broken. Some torsion bars can be adjusted by rotating the bar's base in it's mount. Check to see if your's can be adjusted.

Another welcome. By now you know that there is no owners group on this forum and that Triple E is no longer making trailers. Fortunately, the same vendors supply everyone in the RV industry, so you can contact the manufacturer of each item and get an owner's manual. Finding out where the wiring runs, though, is going to be pretty much on your own.

Perfect thanks guys for your help. I have placed the trailer on jack stands for now just to get some weight off the suspension.

You had me really interested when I read your post title: "81' Triple E" only to find out you're just like the rest of us...
Hope it works well for you.
