My dad had a 1985 Holiday Rambler Aluma Lite XL model 883. Since is death last November, my brother has decieded that he would like the camper. The only problem we have is that the hook up plugs and 9 pins.
Daddy said they only made the 9 pin configuration for 2 years. Now we need a female 9 pin electric brake system for my brothers truckin order for him to come and get the camper. I haven't been able to find one for him. Does any one know of where we may be able to get one of these electric brake systems for his Ford f150 truck. He lives in Houston, Tx so if any one knows of a place near Houston where he can get the system and have it instsalled and can tell me where I would appreciate it. But if anyone can tell me where to just buy the system that would help.
Thanks

Could you cut the 9 pin connector off of the trailer and replace it with a 7 pin connector? Here's the standard wiring for 7 pins, what are your extra two pins used for?

The easiest way to get a brake controller would be to order one from Amazon.com and let USPS or UPS bring it to you, otherwise about any RV dealer or possibly even Walmart may have them on hand.

You are definitely going to want to convert to a 7 pin standard. Anybody else dealing w/it will have the same trouble (i.e. suppose you have to leave it somewhere and get it towed?). Any good trailer shop in any town can do this and should have parts on hand for the conversion.
