'92 HR Alumalite

Hi My nephew is looking at a '92 alumalite TT 27'long from what we were told by friend of seller,(he went camping in it,everything works)it has new tires.anti sway hitch. Only 1 problem the fresh water tank has a crack near top,it cannot be filled,how is acess to tank?
Seller is asking 6K, I checked the nada site and it showed low @$3945. and high @ $4795

Had a '99 HR Alumiscape with Fresh Water tank under Sofa, easy to get to and replace which I did after an accident that totalled my tow vehicle and did little damage to TT.
