If it is just a wire or bulb, look for a spot on the face of the evaporator where the fins are slightly displaced or spread. Push the end of the bulb well back into the coil, between the fins.

For the benefit of the person who worried about people on roof falling through......

I am over six feet (3 inches over six feet) and over 300 pounds..

Shawn from Easton Electric Motors is dang close to 300 pounds.

The two of us spend a good hour working on one of my Air Conditioners fitting a new 3rd party replacement motor when the OEM failed. Mostly on the roof.

With tools and the motor and more.

I walk it often for assorted maintenance reasons.

If you keep it clean, well caulked and in good condition, it is as strong as the kitchen floor.
