During the regular maintainence of our AC unit Sandy washed the filter and then proceeded to 'beat it to death' on the awning support. We now need a replacement. I have checked the Duo Therm website as well as others but didn't see the item.

Sandy would really appreciate any help in locating a new filter.

Thanks,

Paul

Look here. Same type of filter?
As long as the dimensions 16" x 16" are right. (it can be cut down as needed)... This eBAY seller has lots of goodies. Look over his store, I'm sure there are other items listed that you would want.

Search the internet for RV air conditioner filters. Duotherm makes a HEPA replacement filter-$$. The foam screen may be purchased from many home improvement stores in bulk. I carry a SQ yard of it(well, what's remaining) in the RV.

Many thanks for the responses. Some very good leads to follow.

I'm wondering if we replace the original filter (a flimsy little thing) with one of the newer HEPA types: 1) Will it fit the opening and 2) will if reduce the air flow volumn and cause the unit to operate at a lower efficiency?

Any thoughts??

Thans again,

Paul

The HEPA replacement filters fit. They do reduce total air flow, as does any filter with a smaller micron opening.
