Is anyone using an AirSafe hitch on regular travel trailer towed by a truck? I know people use them on the 5th wheel application but I'm only interested in the ones used to tow a travel trailer. This system fits into the receiver of the tow vehicle.
I'd like to hear if it was a worthwhile piece of equipment to purchase and if it aided in making the towing a travel trailer better by softening the hookup between the tow vehicle and trailer?

Howdy!

You might want to check airforum.com which is a airstream forum. I've seen this hitch mentioned there for towing.

That's a good idea, I'll take a look. That also gives me an idea to Google it and maybe some other people have posted in other forums as well, I should be able to just click on the links there.

Chiefneon,
That Airstream site you mentioned had quite a bit of info about the hitch. Thanks for sharing that with me. I looked out on the net to find other threads on the subject and there are a few but not much for travel trailers. Most are for the 5th wheel application.
Seems that everyone that bought the hitch likes it and found it does work to soften the ride.

When I had my TT I had that hitch, really made a difference. Would recommend it, and would get another if I were to again have a TT.

Thanks for the feedback! What size trailer did you pull and what size truck?
