Alarms going!!!

I'm almost home, driving from work and my wife rang me to tell me she started hearing a loud alarm sounding in the RV. I'm thinking... we don't have an alarm in the RV. She said she doesn't know how to switch it off.

I can hear the alarm as im pulling in the driveway. I rush out as I suddenly realize that it's the water alarm going off and sure enough under the sink is the beginnings of a flood.

Luckily it was small at that stage. A face cloth would have mopped it up. A connection to the faucet had become loose and just needed tightening up. No damage done as it was just surface water.

Wow. I dodged a bullet. I'm so happy and grateful that I got these water alarms from eBay and I URGE you to do the same. I would hate to think what could have happened if this was unattended. I guess Creator was looking out for me.

Was the coach attached to city water , or the 12v pump left on ?
Any time we're going away from the coach, for more than an hour , both water pressure sources are off .

If I had done some of the mods you have done, I would get the kinds of alarms that you have. I full time. All of my plumbing that is easily reached has been double checked. I don't leave the trailer hooked up to pressurized water when not in the trailer for longer periods of time, and turn the water pump off when I am boondocking and I leave.

Everyone has to figure these things out for themselves.

I have TPMS and don't have water leak alarms.

100% right. Normally we do but we were leaving in a couple hours for a campsite and I put on the pump to ensure the hot water tank was full before I turned it on to have hot water before we left. No point in heating it with LP when we got there. Clearly that's what cause the pressure and leak.

Is it gonna dry out in that west Canada damp? I'm in Vancouver USA, and while it hasn't been actively raining, we can't catch a break from the damp yet.

I tell people I meet I'm a mold farmer in the Pacific North Wet. Makes them look at me funny.

What do you mean? It's been dry for a couple hours out here in Felida. Just took the Grandson over to Skyview for a football camp and not one drop fell on me!!

I've been down in AZ, etc., this winter. I'm gonna need a little more than a couple of hours of dry and a few minutes of sun to even begin to think about a happy dance.

Haha funny guy. Yes, we live in a semi desert climate. Yesterday was blue sky's all day. Arrive at the campsite and today we cancelled kayaking cos it's too cold for DW. :(

But I might convince her to go fishing lol. 😄😄
I'm gonna camp in my drive way from now on lol.

I've never wasted a single second fishing. Sometimes I even remember to put bait on the hook, but never before the first beer.
