Wheel Bearings

I have a 2014 Winnebago 2101 FBS and was wondering If I would be about to grease the wheel bearings myself-or is it something a specialist would need to do? I have heard some come with an easy lube/grease fittings? It would seem from what I have read that keeping the trailer clearn- checking for sealing needs grease bearings and proper winterizing is pretty much all the yearly maintenance that is needed.

I pull the wheels, inspect and repack every two years. The wheel bearings on the truck that pulls it will never have the wheel bearings repacked, go figure.

That's because they use sealed wheel bearing on cars and trucks these days.
RV trailer MFGS are way behind the times.

Congratulations on the new Micro Minnie. They really are great couples campers. My wife and I just spent a week at a COE campground in South Carolina. I brought it home, washed it and we are heading out for Cowboy shooting competition next Thursday. We'll be camping on the range. No more $100 per night motels for us.

Just pulled the trigger on a 2016 Winnie Drop 1780. I should be able to pick it up next week sometime. Can't wait to enjoy the new vacation home!

We purchased a new Minnie 2351dks a few weeks ago. Only had a chance to spend a couple of nights in it so far but we are extremely happy with it. Love the floorplan and the extra space we have over our previous TT.

If you are somewhat mechanically inclined, almost everything on these is a DIY project. There are tons of YouTube videos out there that show how-to.
I think wheel bearings are pretty easy if you spend a little time and do it correctly and have the right tools.
A grease gun, 2 tubes of the right grease and a jack is really all you need.

Downsized Bigtime!

DW and I sold our MH six months ago, then yesterday, purchased a 2016 Winnie Drop WD170S. This will be quite a change, for sure, but we're looking forward to it. TV is a 2010 Ford Explorer Sport Trac XLT. We'll pick up the unit the first week of June...

2200DS

We have a 2014 Sunnybrook/Winnebago 2200DS. We checked out a Minnie that was the same size as ours and found it had the exact same floorplan, same cabinets, same flooring, and upholstery. We have had a lot of fun on our travels. The 2200DS has been great.

My only complaint is: I wish ours had come with a ladder. I just bought a universal ladder and was thinking of installing it myself. Anybody else out there try this and have any suggestions or tips?
