By the way, on the big trip out west, we only saw one other Minnie and they were going east while we were going west on I-40.

I am going to have to disagree with some here as I needed information for our 29RL & I called Winnebago Towables Customer Service & the lady that answered the phone was extremely gracious & helpful sending me diagrams for wiring, chassis, tank locations, & other info. Also she provided vendor info for tires, slide out & axle manufacturers who in turn that provided web sites & support for their products. Granted a detailed service manual from one source would be nice, but the info is out there, just a pain to gather it all.

We just recieved a Winnebago 27RBDS. Have not been out on the initial run yet. Still getting her ready to roll and all systems to check out before the maiden voyage.

I would do three things before your trip:
Balance the tires
Adjust the brakes
Pack the wheel bearings (mine had very little grease)

I also take the TV down before long trips and lay it on the bed.
This fall, before storing for the winter, I'm planning to have the wheel bearings packed and have the tires balanced. I've hit quite a few rough roads and never had a problem with the tv. I feel it's safer on the mount than on a bed...but time will tell.

As to the tires, I'm going to do a little searching on the internet to see if I can find any reports of blowouts with the tires mounted on similiar size/weight travel trailers. I saw a post on one type of "China Bomb", but just about every post was by the owner of a large TT of FW. On the other hand, I don't want to be in the middle of a major trip and have to lose time waiting for a set of tires to come in as they aren't always in stock.

Congratulations! I hope you enjoy the new trailer. Do check your plumbing connections. I had to tighten the connections under the kitchen sink, and spending a few minutes checking them beats having a flood.

We picked up our Minnie on March 5, 2014. Just completed a 2415 mile round trip to St. Augustine Florida. No problems with the TT or TV at all. We are very happy with the trailer. I have made quite a few improvements and I'll be adding photos. A special hello to PHXJOHN.

I set up a convenient way to store the hitch spring bars while the TT is not hooked up to the TV. As you can see I installed a hook on the frame.

I moved the light over the sink back and installed a stainless steel paper towel rack. This has been very handy to use.

Glad you liked the upgrades. Here is one more. I needed a way to keep the fishing rods safe and out of the way. I used small sections of PVC pipe.

I do agree that the lady(s) at the Winnebago towable facility is/are VERY gracious and friendly. They must like you better because all they could do is download the original one-size-fits-all TT owners manual. I do have the individual manuals of each system that was given to me at LaMesa RV in Tucson back in Feb of this year. So you are right - search the NET Dale-in-Colo

I did not like the quality of the audio coming out of the Jensen TV. So, I started searching the internet for a way to make the television audio go through the Jensen stereo. The stereo is pre-wired for this to happen but no instructions were provided when I bought the Minnie and the dealer service department didn't have a clue how to do it.

I got in touch with ASA Electronics and they sent me the following:

"Thank you for contacting ASA Electronics Technical Service department. If you have verified that the RCA cables are good between the red and white audio input on the TV and the red and white audio input on the back of the AWM968, try the following steps. First go into the TV Audio Menu and turn the TV speakers to Off. Then go into the Setup Menu and change the Audio Output setting to Fixed. On the AWM968, make sure it is set to AUX 1 position. With the TV in this configuration, you will need to adjust the volume on the AWM968."

I followed these instructions and this has been my favorite mod.

New subject: I found out that the little button next to the TV antenna cable outlet selects either the TV antenna ( pushed in) or the camp cable (out). Does the TV jack to the right of the antenna jack go to the satelite jack on the rear left side of the trailer? What is the big round hole to the left of the TV jack for? I thought it might provide AUX 12 VDC like a cigarette lighter jack in a car but my voltmeter doens't indicate 12 VDC there. Where does the TV connector on the right side of the trailer terminate?

Enquiring minds want to know!

To GESDES0923 if you want I would be happy to send you the pdf's of wiring & tank locations. Axle info was better off of manufactures site, slide info from Lippert was in depth but confusing & water valve operation plus pic's was better from another forum.
