If there is room for a second bottle, you may need a bigger trey and have a switch valve added to split the line.
Much easier would be to just go buy a 30lb tank to replace the 20lb tank.
You will have to have it refilled, but that gives you more gas that an exchange tank.
So in otherwords, by going from a 20lb exchange to a 30lb refill, you can increase the capacity about 75%.

Depending on how much you use your furnace, you may not need too much propane. We camped a lot this past year and only used the propane for cooking and the fridge when traveling. One 20 lb bottle lasted us over a year.

If you use the gas furnace for extended times, a second propane tank is a good idea. We have a Minnie 2201DS and we've taken quite a few trips where we use the furnace quite a bit and it's nice to know that we're not going to run out of propane during the middle of a cold night. But, you do have to consider that with a Drop, just make sure the added weight isn't a problem...I can't see where it would be unless you have loaded much more gear than most people do, or you aren't using a weight distributing hitch.

Another option would be to upgrade to a larger propane tank (30 lb.).

20 lb tanks are usually easy to come by. Lots of people have trashed an old BBQ grill and kept the 20 lb tank. Ask around and you might be surprised. You can put the extra 20 lb tank in the back of your truck and just swap out tanks if necessary.

Looks like I just about wrapped up the 2016 season with a weekend at French Creek State Park in PA. Still waiting to see another Winnebago trailer in a campground. I opened up this thread "any new owners of winnebago towables" back in 2014. I have camped over 70 times since and still have only seen 2 winnebago trailers. Is there a secret club I don't know about?

It appears that they are all in Georgia. I've seen a couple of Winnie Minnies out at state parks and on the interstate.

We are in central Florida and I have seen 2 over the course of the last year.

Not sure why we don't see more of them. We are approaching 1 year with ours and not had a single problem that required a return to the shop.

We've just passed our one year anniversary date and never had to use the warranty either. No problems at all. I guess we were fortunate but I somehow feel kind of cheated.

There is about to be another new one in Georgia next Monday. Oicking her up and bringing her home. New Minnie Plus 27BHSS in Platinum. Pictures will follow when I have it in hand. 1st travel trailer and I'm really excited to do this with my family. So much to learn, though!

Survived Hurricane Matthew

Merritt Island here. Parked our new Minnie after our 1st long trip west. Bought a cover, snugged it down in Oct. Headed farther south hoping Hurricane Matthew made that 90d turn N missing our destination. As luck would have it, he did and headed straight for where we had our Minnie hunkered down. While electric was still on we could watch the cover billow out like a balloon. Out come, the brand new cover was shredded to pieces, the Minnie sustained no damage. I was sure that she was going to end up in our lake...
She is such a small unit but the benefits so outway an alternative.
