Any suggestions on 12V batteries
I have 2-12v batteries on my tt and looking to replace soon, any suggestions on what 12v batteries you would suggest?
Thanks Brian

I would just recommend a large group size like 29/31 as they have more reserve capacity and will allow more recharge cycles.

If you're asking this question, you might need to read this for some great general info.

For house use 2 - 6V GC2s in series. True deep cycle, lowest $/AH and good durability.
Sam's Club $85 Ea.
Bests 12V RV / Marine batts hands down.

We do alot of boondocking. So, we went with two 6v golf cart "Interstate" brand batteries from Costco for $99 each. They work great. I'll never go back to 12v batteries again.

Not an expert, but most people that do true boondocking seem to lean towards 2 - 6V GC (Golf Cart) batteries. Seems to make sense the way golf carts are misused and abused.

I am doing the same, going to two 6v deep cycle batteries. If you have two 12v already, you might be able to wedge in 4 6v batts. Just depends on your needs.
I am slowly, very slowly, building my own lithium ion pack, that I plan to eventually install on the TT. Lithium is great, but very expensive new.

After researching options, I just replaced the original four 12v flooded batteries with four 6v Trojan T105 AGMs, true deep cycle and maintenance free. I didn't want to deal with checking and adding water every month to flooded batteries.

I pickup my 12 volt type 24 batteries at Costco - think they run about $60.

Read this before replacing house battys with any GP batty rated w CCA or MCA even if they claim to be deep cycle marine RV
Also Reserve capacity is not a good deep cycle measure... look for and compare AH at 20A Rate and compare $/AH for a valid comparison.

My first batteries were 12v "deep cycle" and lasted not quite 2 years. After that, I switched to two 6v GC batteries. My first set went 8 years. I acquired a 9 year old set of Trojan T105s, which lasted another two years. That means they were 11 years old when I replaced them with a new set of T105s, which are about 2 years old now.
