Anyone expanded a twin bed to full?

We are looking at a 99 Fleetwood (Terry?) Ultra-lite 21ft, I believe it is model 721E. The bunks in back are twin sized. In looking at the floor plan there is a similar model that has a wardrobe removed and a full sized lower bunk. Is it possible to remove the wardrobe and lengthen the frame to accommodate a full mattress? We can certainly live with the trailer w/out the full sized lower bunk but having it larger would be ideal.

Yes I realize we could just buy a trailer that already had this but the pickings are slim (for the size we wanted), especially in the price range we are considering.

Hello and welcome to the forum! I know that lots of RV owners have taken out furnishings and replaced them with different pieces. I'm sure you can probably remodel the trailer more to your liking. Hopefully someone who has actually done this will respond.

You probably can. Why not? In our old Zinger we removed the hard-as-a-rock jack knife sofa and added a single bed. We replaced the sofa when we sold it to buy the larger NorthTrail.
