attwood water heater switch ?

Our dual switch has a light in between the switches. The light never comes on. We are calling our dealer but curious if anyone has seen this before. It is an attwood switch like this one below

The light only comes on when there is a fault on the system. That's what the dealer told me when i asked the same question.
