Automatic changeover regulators.......

Read another thread regarding this issue, but slightly different. I bought a used trailer a couple years ago and I've been doing upgrades. After reading the other thread, I realized I have an older 2003 Marshall -250 regulator (which just happens to be "stuck" in the red mode) I think it's time to replace and assume the -253 is just the latest version.

Does anyone suggest a different brand/model or is the -253 the way to go? Also, would you suggest replacing the pigtails while I'm at it?

I would replace all of the tails as well. you should then have nice clean fitting in all of the joints. I very rarely use the auto function as i like to now when the bottle is empty nothing worse then having two empty bottles,

Use the auto change valve. It is frustrating to run out of propane if you're cooking or heating. Not a big deal to check the valve occasional to see when it has switched to the full tank. We're retired we need to do something.

Replaced and already can tell the difference in gas flow. Heading out to the Sierra Nevada mountains in about 4 hrs. Devils Postpile @ Mammoth Mtn. area (Minaret Falls campground to be specific)
