Just purchased a 2010 31' pump palomino. When I hook up my tv to the built in DVD player I get a still framed picture with no motion or sound thru my tv. Is there a special cable I need to us in order for this to work? Keep in mind that the still framed picture is of the movie coming thru.

This symptom sounds like the TV has a freeze frame function that was activated vs. any problem with the DVD player or the connection.

Does the TV remote have a freeze frame button? - try pressing that again while the still frame is showing

If that is not the problem...
Has the DVD player ever worked properly?

Does the movie play on any other TV?

Thanks for you reply. The tv does not have a freeze frame and as far as the DVD player. We just purchased the camper so I'm not sure about the past if it has worked. And the DVD use to work on other TVA :-). Ill check that thank you.

I wasn't sure if they required a special av cord. I used the basic three plug yellow, red and black wire. However I only hooked up the yellow on both the wall plug and tv.

The DVD video "should" play on just the yellow (composite) cable. The other 2 cables (usually red and white, but can be red and black) are for (component) audio.

These cables will work with all DVD players except the new Blu-ray HD disc players. You don't need any other cable - and you know the cable is good because the TV is receiving the still frame.

I'm not clear...did the DVD disc or DVD player work before?

If the player has worked before - Then try a different Disc. DVD's will hang-up if there is a scratch of similar issue on the Disc surface.

If the disc worked before, the problem is probably in this player. You can try a different disc anyway...but DVD players have lots of moving parts and life in an RV is hard on them...might be time for a new player.

Okay so my TT was just broke into yesterday at the storage lot and my flat screen was one of the stolen items so disregard this message. NOW what is the best way to fix the pry bar marks along my door track beside the lock? I was thinking a body shop! The damage is done to my door not the camper.

Oh Gosh. So sorry for the pain.

Insurance going to cover anything? They usually want a roll in the repair shop decision.

No matter what, this deserves it's own thread under the general forum.

I doubt any automotive body shop will have the know-how to repair an RV - let alone an RV door.
My Class A has a door that was pre-made, so parts are available from the maker/vendor. But I understand that some mfgt's make the doors in-house. Either way you should be able to get it repaired.

And on the bright side...this could be an opportunity to get A BIGGER TV!
