Awning Add-a-Room

The DW wants one of those screened add a rooms that you attach to the awning. Is there one better than another? Does anyone have any opinions on these, good or bad. How much of a pain are they to install and remove?

We were about to buy one and then had the experience of helping friends fight with theirs in a violent thunderstorm and changed our minds. It makes it take too long to put the awning back up! They may be OK for places with little wind and no sudden storms, but where we travel I will never use one.

DW and I also looked at one till we watched a couple put one on their trailer. Took them quite a while to get it up there and I thought he was going to fall several times while putting it up with a ladder. We just bought a dining tent which isn't connected to our $2000.00 awning and safer if the wind does get up.

Unless you plan on "planting" your RV for months somewhere where the wind doesn't blow, you will have more "fun", (and spend more time), "setting up" and "taking down" an awning screen room than you can use it.
Once was enough for me.
(Save your money and get your DW a motel room for 10-12 nights).

I used to think they were cool, but I really never see them in use. The wind could be a real "game changer" with one of those.

I had one on my pop up, which of course had legs at the corners. We loved it, weathered quite a few nasty storms with it as well. But I think the ones for a pop up are better anchored than for a TT.
