Awning Fabric Replacement

I have a Carefree awning on my TT and the fabric is showing signs of wear. Getting a bit brittle on the end and some stitching is pulling out where the ends are folded over and stitched.
I think I will just replace the fabric instead of trying to get one more year out of it.
It is a 18' Sprit made by Carefree of Colorado which takes an awning measuring 17' x 8'.
I have gotten a quote of $200 for the fabric from a local RV dealer and then they want a min of $178 for installation.
Anybody got leads on a source of the fabric that might be any cheaper? $200 isn't too bad but I don't like leaving money on the table.
Also, anybody got a site with good SAFE instructions on doing the replacement? I am very handy and have all the tools necessary, I think. Spent a lot of time rigging boars, doing a lot of repairs, etc so I don't think it would be beyond my capabilities.

Hello, this is Jim, owner of Complete rv service,
as this is an old post, i assume that you have the fabric replaced by now, I just hope you still have both thumbs if you did it yourself
as those springs in the roller tube will cause serious injury if they get away from you.
