Hello and sure would like to get some help with my RV awning on my Keystone cougar . On one side the Awning inter arm is stuck and won't move up or down and the bracket has pulled out of the RV been trying to free it to no avail except can move it a little however it really hard to do . I know I am a newbie and need to learn I don't won't to put the arm base on until I can get it freed up also planning on using some anchors and maybe squeeze some di core all inside base to keep water out any help is sure appreciated. Gil, from the description of your problem, I'm assuming you've got a manual awning.
Could you confirm by posting manual, or power and awning brand and model info.
A picture of the problem area would be a real help too.

This has happened to me a couple of times. In my case the awning fabric was rolling up rolling up unevenly. I used a piece of wood to pry the outer arm off the inner arm at the top. After it was open I could see the fabric slid back and forth in the roller,I centered the fabric in the roller, and it rolled up evenly. Now I check the alignment before I roll it up.
