I use a mixture of vineager and water.About 50/50 in a spray bottle.Soak the awning good in the lowest extended position. I then take a terry cloth towel and give it a good wipe followed by hoseing it down. Gets rid of mildew along with the dirt.

I use mild dish soap. Spray it on and use the MH wash brush with pole to scrub and then hose off. Repeat same for outside of awning. Allow to air dry and roll up. We don't live in a humid climate so we don't need to worry about mildew buildup on it.
