Axle Flipping Help

So I am wanting to flip my Lippert 2800# axles on my 2013 Trail-Lite Trek by R-Vision and noticed that there are two kits available. One for 2 3/8" and one for 3" axle diameter. How do I find out what I have? I've done a ton of research on line and haven't found anything. I measured the axle's outside diameter with a piece of string and it was 8 1/2" around. Not sure if that helps. Lippert's axle model number is 132017. Thanks for any help!

Call Lippert , give them your model number and they should be able to tell you which kit that you need.

Take a cloth or flexible rule and measure around the axle a 2-3/8 will be almost 7-1/2" and if it is a 3" diameter it will be about 9-7/16". Or cut a u shape in a piece of paper or cardboard that will just slip over the axle and then measure that openinf

Lol, your measurement falls right I between! Isn't that the luck. That length comes out to about 2-3/4".

There should be a sticker on the axle, facing the rear of the unit. It should have the info on it you are looking for. The easiest is just call Lippert. I called for the same reason and they were very eager to help.

Wouldn't the u-bolt measurement be from inside-to-inside of the bolts? Center-to-center would add the diameter of the bolt to the diameter of the axle?
Joe

you are correct Joe, thanks for the clarification. If he has that dimension simply subtracting the bolt diameter would work
