Back up cameras

Has any one used a back up camera with their TT? I see where Esky has developed a license plate model with WiFi capability. Wondered if anyone has any experience with backup cameras and/or with this company and model. Thanks

I had one on my pop up that I got off Amazon. Wasn’t the greatest but it worked. I rigged it so it was on anytime my lights were on. I pulled my boat behind the pop up so I was able to keep an eye on everything.

I think I paid around $80 for it. I’ll get one a little better for the trailer I have now when I get through with the remodel.

I just added a Furrion Rear Observation/Back-up camera to my TT - it is the kind that mount near the clearance lights and also get their power from them. My TT is 31' long so it helps me see where the back end of the TT is at - I still need a spotter to back in (I have only used it a couple of times now so I am still getting used to it). I do love the rear observation feature - it is like having a rear view mirror that sees through the TT. One feature of the monitor is guide lines - granted they don't move like the ones on my truck's camera but it does help me guide the trailer onto the pad.

I did have another system where the camera had a magnet mount and was battery powered - the problem was not enough range - probably the same thing might be the case with the system you are looking at. My license plate is on the side of my TT so the camera's view would be offset - might take a lot of getting used to.

My trailer was pre-wired for a Furrion camera. I bought the observation/backup system and it was worth every penny. I'll never go with out a observation camera again.

I bought a backup wireless camera for our 27' tt, just before our trip to Kansas last month.
Powered the camera from the running lights circuit.
Unfortunately it has squat for range.
Will try using 18db gain attenna on the camera.
Also maybe a longer antenna cable.
