Batteries and Reserve Power
Who is using dual batteries in their TT? How do you have them rigged together?

So, what batteries are you talking about? 6V or 12V to begin with
We have 4 Interstate U-2200's, each 6V is about 230 amp hours so we have to double the batteries to give 12V and 460 amp hours. But since you should only use 50% of the charge we have 230 amp hours of 12V power.

Look around for a link to the 12 volt side of life.. The diagrams on that page show the answer to your question.
There are two meanings to the phrase "Dual Batteries" I use both here,
Six volt Golf car batteries are configured like this The Voltages I show are "Relative to the chassis ground" === Is heavy duty wire..
Zero=== -{Bat}+=t=-{ery}+==12 volt
That is six volt pairs, you may note that wired in series they form ONE SINGLE 12 volt battery,, Treat them like this and it answers many questions.. Examples:
Do they have to be the same (Age, make type, size, etc) Would you buy a 12 volt battery that was "half and half".. Of course they do.
The other configuration I use is twin 12 volt in parallel Like this
-{Battery}+
-{Battery}+
-{battery}+
*yes I have 3(
And the leads are hooked to the center one.

I have three sets (wired parallel) of two 6 volt (wired in series) 300 AH Lifeline batteries producing 12 volts and an aggregate of 900 AH. They are now three years old, and look, and perform, like new. While these cost about $2k initially, we've boondocked extensively with them. We also replaced the propane fridge with a Novakool 12 v fridge. It has also been on for about 3 years. Additionally, I have 600 W of solar panels mounted to the top of the TT. Aside from low tree branches, things have worked fine.
