BBQ Quick Disconnect

My K-Z Vision V23BHS has a propane quick-connect for a grill. Problem is it is after the regulator and runs a low-pressure propane flow. I want to use a Weber Q2000 that has a built-in regulator and requires a high-pressure flow.

I have heard of two solutions:

1. Bypass the trailer regulator for the quick-disconnect.
2. Mod the BBQ by removing the regulator and adding a quick-disconnect. Problem with this is I would want to use the BBQ with high-pressure flow sometimes as well.

This must be a common problem. I cannot imagine that everyone wants to use one of these sub-standard grills that are included with the unit.

Anyone have any better ideas?

Michael

Most gas grills use a hose with regulator at the tank connection. If you use a hose/regulator with a quick connection fitting at the grill, you could swap out a low pressure hose from the RV tank or the hose/regulator when you wish to connect directly to a portable tank. I'd much prefer the high pressure regulated as close to the tank, with hard connections rather than a flexible high pressure hose.

You can modify your weber grill by removing the regulator and install a quick-disconnect fitting. If your TT came with a grill you will find that the quick connect fitting on that grill it will fit the weber. Do a search on youtube and you will find a video with instructions. I will see if I still have the link.
