We sold our 2014 Minnie via rvtrader.com and the first person to look at it bought it along with out Tundra. But if you really don't want to be involved in showing it, visit local or at least nearby RV dealers and negotiate a consignment sale. If the trailer is in food shape and your willing to take a price lower than average retail, a dealership may see it as a chance to pick up some easy money.

When I was in the business the selling price of the consignment was determined by the seller. If the seller wanted too much for it it was a no go as the unit would likely just sit there taking up valuable lot space. Typically the dealership would try to get a $1000 fee above what the seller wanted. About 30% of the fee would go to the salesperson as commission. The remainder would go to the dealership for keeping it clean and any other 'cost' associated with having there. As for taxes the buyer would only pay the sales tax on the consignment fee as the unit itself was owned by the seller. So depending on your local tax laws concerning the sale of privately owned trailers that may differ.

#1 way to sell a trailer is to be realistic about the price. Many people over paid at time of purchase and have their expectations far too high at time of sale.

At 2 years an RV like that should be worth around 50% of the MSRP. Hopefully, you only paid around 70% of MSRP. This is the actual value if you sell it yourself. Consigning, trading in, etc. will reduce your take, of course.

consignment places will negotiate a deal with the buyer....then come back to you to get you to sell cheaper than your agreement. They work sellers as hard as they work buyers

This was my experience as well. You just have to hold firm against the dealer trying to get you to knock the price down.
The reason I opted to sell via consignment was that I couldn’t store our TT in our driveway long-term while waiting for a buyer.
