I don't use bleach in my septic tank at home nor in my black tank. Don't want to kill all those "munching microbes"!

A black tank is closer to a septic tank than a leach field. So, it's basically an anaerobic system. Anaerobic microbes arnt digesting solids.

Maybe the answer you're looking for is: Sometimes I take my wife and her sister with me. They don't like seeing an indication that the black tank is full and then they bug me while I'm fishing, flying, etc... and I don't like being bugged when I'm doing those things... The indicator needs to work... that's what else needs to happen. Happy?

Not my problem. 😆 Also nothing to do with health, equipment longevity and safety IMO. Seems like only personal preference. Some folks can't stand odors, even when they were the ones that made them.

I've picked up some Happy Campers Extreme Clean and regular tank treatment. Never heard s bad thing about the stuff. There only thing I don't like so far is the expensive shipping costs of $8/item ordered.
