Well that is a thought also..........

Wouldn't be the first time 'labels' were on wrong at the dump valves

Open valve labeled Black and then do a long flush on toilet to see if water runs out of Black tank drain.

Black Tank Mystery

On my rig, the black tank drain pipe is larger than the grey water drain pipe. What's yours look like?

That don't make any sense to me as the black tank should be separate from the grey tank and the only water coming up in shower is from the sinks. sure would like to know what is going on here any help is appreciated .
Ok guys This is the last chapter on the black tank mystery and you will not believe w hat the whole problem was and at last someone had the tanks labeled wrong the black tank had a sticker that said grey and the grey tank was labeled Black what a bunch of bull crap and thanks for all the help so I now know which tank is which and should have figured it out a long time age so I will blame it on age rather than a dummy

Have some friends who had an Open Range--went about a year before they figured this problem out, or even knew they had a problem.

I can tell by the, um, contents. I have a clear plastic elbow that I attach to the drain pipe first, then the sewer hose. I knew from the first time I used it which handle was which.

My labels were also switched on my 2002 Monaco Windsor BUT it's not hard to tell which is which by looking at the size of the pipe where the valve is located. Black tank pipes and valves are 3 inch and Grey tank pipe and valves are usually 1 1/2. Well at least that the way mine is.

I just removed the grey handle on the Black tank and painted it BLACK. The one on the grey tank is already grey. So someone messing in my service bay hopefully won't go by the labels.
