Blinds - ugh

This morning I was raising the blinds and sure enough I broke one. This is a never ending battle as I fixed 4 other blinds with an plastic anchor to put the screws into. You know it is sad when I already have spare parts....ugh.

Already fixed...took 5 minutes to install a wall anchor and new screw and new blind holder plastic gizmo.

I have enough to fix the next one that comes out if the wall.

1st one ever fixed took 1 hour. Now takes 5 minutes

How old is your trailer? I got back into camping 3 years ago and purchased a new trailer. So far the blinds have held up well. I will say that I normally leave the blinds about 1/4 of the way up and don’t really fool with them. The bedroom blinds I leave down all the time. Now the bunk house blinds are always up and down because of the kids. So I would expect those to go first but there holding just fine. I own a 30’ Gulf Stream aluminum trailer.

I am in a 2013 Keystone Vantage. The plastic piece that holds the cord under tension seems to break quite often. But I am good at fixing them now.

I have had another trailer and a 5th wheel and all had the pleated blinds with the tension cords. And I replaced a few plastic cord holders on them also. I expect this to be a very common issue. Especially since it is easy to find replacement parts.
