Anybody else use these items?

I bought the eTrex Summit GPS on sale for 129.99CDN, regular price was 259.99, so good price to get into these things.

Below are the specs for the thermometer.
These are the specs, it was on for 139.99CDN and has a higher range than the Harbour Freight one, which I want for automotive use too.
Mine actually came in a hard case not a holster.

Description:
Temperature range of -4? to 932?F (-20 to 500?C). Use for most automotive and industrial applications requiring an infrared thermometer. Compact size of 5.88" x 3.62" x 1.38" (149.2 x 92.1 x 34.9mm). Laser targeting accuracy. Enhanced backlit 4 digit LCD for easy viewing. Automatic power-off after 10 seconds. Nylon holster for transport and safe storage. CE Conformity.
Additional Description:
These infrared thermometers safely monitor hot, hazardous, or hard-to-reach materials without contamination or damage to the surface. Simply point at target, pull the trigger, and read the temperature on the large, backlit LCD display. Applications include:
Additional Features:

Pinpointing radiator core restrictions
Checking exhaust and emission control problems
Measuring catalytic converter temperatures
Diagnosing exhaust manifolds for combustion problems
Measuring tire temperatures
Measuring race track temperatures
Measuring bearing, rotor, drum, or brake temperatures for potential problems
HVAC-Use for temperature room balancing, check supply/return registers duct work, monitor steam traps, furnace performance plus use in energy audits

Product Specifications
Stock # RTEMPB3
Name Thermometer, Infrared, Laser
Price** CAD $139.95
Temperature Range -4? to 932?F (-20? to 500?C)
