We're new at this...

When we first started RVing.. we packed for the weekend for the different campouts... we bounced and Jerked all the way there and then on the return trip.

We were looking at the different hitch configurations... but my wife found a solution.

If you take a 8,000 lbs trailer and pack 4,000 lbs in it ... the trailer quits bouncing and jerking.

Now we can go Full Time...

Wonder why women feel they need to pack everything but the kitchen sink? Oh-wait! It's in there too.
Seriously now, If the tongue weight of your trailer is not above the minimum of 10% of loaded TT weight it will not tow right. Some TT owners have success moving more items/weight to the front of the TT.

As Ray said, most bouncing, jerking and swaying (in the case of a "bumper pull") is a result of insufficient hitch weight.
