Cabinet Color

Hat ever happened to golden oak and maple cabinetry? Everyone seems to be trending dark. Dark reddish brown (cherry) and dark brown remind me of old time construction used in funeral parlors and old libraries. I know many like the dark look, but I'm not a fan. What manufacturers are left who still build cabinetry with golden oak or maple? I love the warmth and brighter feel inside. I also don't like dark furniture.

Koala, Forest River motorized RVs, Starcrafte, etc. offer light to medium wood finishes. I'm hoping the RV Show next weekend will have many more options in addition to the pervasive dark, cherry wood that Jayco and others are fitting their entire lines with.

It's hard to do fake oak. The dark ones with less grain are easy. I like the oak, but don't have it.
