Campgrounds near Orlando Conv. Ctr

My wife and the "rodent" (not his official name) have received an invitation to the National dog trials at the convention ctr. International Dr. in Orlando, Fl. this coming Dec. We've got a 33' TT but I'm having a hard time finding campgrounds within an easy commute. It needs to be pet friendly as we have 4 dogs traveling with us. Yes we're responsible pet owners and yes they are well behaved. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I agree Turkey Lake always gets great reviews. MY Central Florida camping is usually limited to Fort Wilderness, but I put together a list of other campgrounds:

Good choice. Only about 15 minutes to the convention center. There are a couple places in the park where they do not want you to walk the dogs because of livestock, but they are marked.

I was just over there the other day and have some pictures on my blog if you are interested.

Have fun!

It's good you are looking now. Reserve now also.

I found out the hard way that Florida campgrounds are booked solid in Dec, Jan, Feb.

2004 Monaco La Palma 36DBD, W22, 8.1, 7.1 MPG
2000 LEXUS RX300 FWD 22MPG 4020 LBS

Don't know where I'm going, spose I'll get there anyway.
