Cleaners With Bleach

Going to doing some recaulking on my rubber roof. Is it ok on the rubber membrane to use a cleaner with bleach, plan on thoroughly rinsing after use, to clean the area before hand.
Jim

Yes. I clean my roof with a combo of dish detergent, bleach, and of course water. I use a typical garden sprayer. Spray it on, let it stand for a few minutes and the spray it off. Rinse, rinse, rinse. I use a car washing mitt on all the vent covers, AC cover, etc. I do not use a brush on the roof as it may damage something. Others do as long as it is a soft bristled one. I use three parts water, one bleach and a cup of detergent. Works great on the awning as well. Wear old clothes cause you will get some on you.
