Not if the Buick connect is after the regulator I.e. A low pressure connection. Coleman needs high pressure. Will not operate properly if running thru two requlatiors, one on the rig and the second in the control on the grill that the tank screws into.

Yes, but you must buy or build your own special adapter hose for the purpose. There's a Youtube video that shows how to build your own, but the easiest way is to get a Torjik Connect-C adapter kit. I believe even Coleman themselves are selling this kit now. The quick connect fitting on your RV has already gone through one regulator to reduce the pressure, so you cannot run that through the Coleman's regulator; and when you remove the Coleman regulator you will discover their proprietary fitting. Hence the Torjik Connect-C.

I made my own connector. I removed the regulator that hooks on to the little green tanks. I have a hose that goes directly from the quick connect to the grill. It still does not work. The flame is really low.
Am I still doing something wrong?
Thank you chris

That should work to the best of my knowledge. Only two things I can think of. One is that your quick connect line/valve may be blocked; how old is this, and have you ever used it before? The other is that your adapter might be leaky, or blocked a bit.

Really low flame also sounds like the Coleman regulator is still in place, but you say you're not using it.

Anyone else?

Roger

Try closing your main valve and then opening it slowly. You might have the safety device that throttles flow when it detects high flow, which could be a leak.

Ok I am lost. I am very stubborn. I will not quit until I figure it out.
I do not think the quick connect is plugged. I pulled it off and checked for restrictions.
I hooked a hose straight from propane tank to grill regulator and it worked perfect. I can really hear the propane coming out when I turn on the grill getting ready to light it.
When the hose is hooked to the quick connect I have to listen closely to hear the propane when getting ready to light it. It seems like it is very low pressure.
Why I am really confused is because I can turn all 3 stove burners on inside, run the furnace and have the water heater on at the same time. I can not see the little grill needing more propane than that.
I am going try to attach pictures of the hoses if I can figure out how to do it. The first picture is the hose I hooked directly to the propane tank and the second is the hose I made for the quick connect.
Thank you for any help
Chris

Propane tank pressure is 125 PSI , regulated down to 14 " of WC ( Water Column ) for operation of appliances in the RV .
You're feeding the BBQ propane at 14"WC with no control for temp ( higher flow ) , you'll only get low flame , because , that's probably the lowest setting on the temp control of the temp control knob on the original control .

Sorry but time for a different BBQ; or back to 1 lb bottles or ; carry a propane bottle ( 5,10 or 20 lbs ) to feed the BBQ directly.

I don't see a flow control valve to adjust the heat on the grill. Is there a "check valve" in the piece at the grill end?

OK . Just in case you're reading the first post , there are full pressure lines available to tap into the coach tank before the regulator to feed propane to BBQs like you have , BUT , they must be removed or capped off for travel , because there is no propane quick disconnect for full tank pressure.

Made one for mine a couple of years ago . Works great. Got a long hose and quick connector that connects to the RV propane manifold .
