These ST tires offer an alternative to the old industry-wide 65 MPH speed rating for ST tires. Cooper Discoverer ST tires come in higher speed ratings, N (87mph), Q (99mph) and S (112mph) ratings hopefully equate to a higher quality tire.
I do not have any connection to Cooper tires. I just passed this information along.

according to Coopers web the Discoverer S/T tires are not a special trailer (ST) but a P and LT tire BUT they will make a better trailer tire than a ST (special trailer) tire.

The "SP" is called special trailer, the S/P is a whole different tire. If you look at the Cooper website you will see the special trailer and the special trailer plus tires listed by themselves. I use the ST tires on the Toyhauler, seems to work great for the last two years. I also use the LT tires on the Terry and no problems, so far so good.

Tried to buy some Cooper ST trailer tires from my local dealer. He said he hasn't been able to get any for a year. Thinks Cooper is changing to China.

Cooper stopped their special trailer tire (ST) production line in '05 according to my Cooper tire dealer. looking at their web shows about four sizes of 14"/15" from the Asian rim.
