I built a pole barn for RV and TV storage. One thing that folks need to consider when adding a building is that it isn't free storage. Over the life of the building I will have paid thousands to rent it in the form of property tax.

Pole barn, we built our 30x36, were expanding it to 30x40' by removing the front doors, adding 12' and putting the doors back on the front..

Pour a slab, I built a huge barn and ended up pouring a cement floor, really worth the money when you have to get down on your knees or on your back to work on your RV or anything else stored in there. Trust you wont me sorry.;

If you pour a slab park your tires on rubber or plywood mats to keep the tires off of the concrete. Concrete and tires have a chemical reaction that do not benefit the tires.

I have heard that concrete thing befor, but, doesn't every garage have a concrete floor, where cars are parked all the time. Myth or fact ?????

yea I would like to know where that info came from. Never heard of concrete "hurting" rubber! Is there somewhere I can read up on that?

RICKIPM, geez, that's a nice looking carport/shop setup. Did you do the plans yourself or buy some? Did you put it up yourself or have someone do it? Mind if I ask how much that set you back? Very good job, has me thinking!
