Crossroads or Keystone?

I've finally narrowed my search down to either the 2015 Crossroads Z1 252BH or a keystone Springdale 260LE. Both are basically the same price, size and layout. Does anyone have a preference as to which brand may be a better value, and if so,why?

I've never owned a Keystone product, but I work on one a little too often. It belongs to a friend that's NOT handy. He is my truest friend, so I help him out. I actually work on his unit more than my own. Sorry if it's not what you want to hear, but I'll never buy anything made by Keystone. Sorry, I'm no help with the other...

We own a Keystone ?Bulletin Premier great trailer, we love it. Every manufacturer has issues. You probably will be fine either way. If at 2 different dealers go with the one you like the most as if there is an issue you will need a good dealer. If still a tie go with the closest to you.

I had both a Crossroads and a Keystone, but not these models.

Frankly, I'd buy neither. But if I had to choose, I'd go with the Keystone - the Crossroads has a pretty facade, but underneath it's got to be the cheapest trailer ever made. If you go on their forum, you'll find plenty of negative posts about their lack of warranty support and very frustrated owners. Their roofs are not EPDM and are a PVC product which is not holding up as well.

I suggest you not shop on price, but seek out quality. If you have to pay more upfront, you'll be way ahead down the road - you'll spend less on repairs after your warranty is up, and you'll have less frustration and time spent during the warranty period.

Good luck!

If you do go with CR which I personally disagree with you should haggle until you get a great price not just a decent one as the unit WILL cost you quite a bit during the short life of ownership......

Bought our 2014 Cougar RLS (keystone) & have had very few minor problems which was 2 months out on the 1 year warranty but keystone stepped up to the plate & fixed all under warranty .
Black tank wash not working Fixed
Minor leak in slide Fixed
Minor leak in slide window Fixed
Bathroom fan went out Fixed
All on Keystones dime with no hassle.
We have camped in our unit for over 100 days so far with zero issues except the minor one I mentioned above .
Would I buy another Keystone product? you betcha.
But you need to decide what works best for you

Save your money and buy a better RV. If you see this as an activity you plan to do for a considerable time it will pay to spend more for better quality. Keystone definite no.
