Delivery Check List Needed fo new tt

It's been 7 years since we took delivery on a new RV. I have seen check lists for RVers buying coaches, but I need one for when I take delivery on a hybrid trailer. The dealer I bought from is 2-1/2 hours away, so want to make sure things are right.

Picking it up tomorrow (March 30th) , I called the dealer to say I want the frig plugged in and running. I want to pull the electric plug and see if the frig switches over to gas like it should. I said I want it de-winterized and some water in the fresh tank to see that the water heater runs on both power sources (gas / electric).

I few things I have jotted down are:

~ check to see all decals and warning stickers are fully attached to the RVs exterior

~ all lights work

~ CD player and radio work

~ cabinets line up and drawers slide in & out smoothly

~ check all caulking around windows and seams

Anything else.....???

Thanx...I printed one up and highlighted the items I need to review....

One more ? back about a year ago I went with a buddy to do his PDI on a 18 month old used trailer. I asked the shop person for a ladder to check the roof. He said we don't allow anyone on the roof. But we want to inspect it...Nope sorry you can't go up there was the response again. Being only about 160 lbs. my buddy hoisted he up after the salesman left to go back in the building.

So what is the general rule when buying a new RV....Are roofs "off limits"? I'm sure they say for liability reasons. There is no ladder on this tt.

Thanks...this is great! We just did a quick walk through of our new Hybrid, the final walk through isn't for a week or so.

If I was purchasing it and they didn't let me check out the roof I'd tell them the deal is off and I'll go somewhere else--I'd bet they will let you up on the roof then.

I would say much the same about any nook or cranny I wanted to poke my nose into. It seems to me that if they don't want to show you something, they must have a reason for you not to see that something.

Besides the roof some people will overlook the underside of TT or a motor home.
You maybe surprised what you may find under there.
Loose wires open holes you need a old vinyl table cloth to slide on and just take a look and check it out.
On motor homes and TT's I have had have always found some loose harness wiring and got them tied up, the wind will make a mess of them if they are not tied.
