Does Rockwood 2304 DS furnace run on elec or propane?
Used it for the first time this past weekend. When we bought the trailer, only about 1/4 tank of propane in both tanks, and need to keep an eye on them before they go empty.
So when we heated the trailer, did it run on propane or 30A shore power?

OK, thanks! That is what I needed to know.
I realized that it runs HOT!!! so I assumed it was heating on propane. Every house I ever lived in with gas heating seemed to heat WAY more efficiently than electric, and this has that same hot and dry feel that gas heating in homes has.
I guess I better fill those tanks soon!

If you have a source of electricity you can skip the built in propane heater and use electric space heaters instead.

Thought about that, but being only a 25' trailer, I don't want to carry any more stuff than I need to. And the fire hazard of space heaters...

fire hazard?.....no more than any other place [1500watts or less]. if you are connected to shore power and buy a plug-in heater with a few settings and maybe a thermostat, you end up with a nice steady temp as opposed to the propane heater temp swings and fan noise...besides...its free.
i carry one....its very light and takes up very little stowed space.... dont leave home without it .

To heat a 24' TT with a space heater will work very well--we use only one on a 36' fiver.
And unless you are camped at well below 50d, it will take care of the entire trailer. And if electricity is included in the campsite fee, it is 'free' and propane is not.
Having/using one is a no-brainer to me...

Very good points. Why burn my gas when I can use the camp site's free electricity.

We have a 2016 2304KS and just came back from the Grand Canyon where the temps were in the low 40's at night. With the good insulation in ours the heater only went on a I think 2 times during the night. I now have a electric space heater for supplemental heat so as not to use as much propane. My experience is these unit are very tight (having come from 2 Arctic Fox 5th wheels) which had 4 season insulation packages.

we got back from the canyon yesterday...spent night 1 [fri] at mather camp ground ...unit is a rockwood minilite 2109s.....thermo set at 65* ... temp outside sat. morn 39*.... propane heater cycled many times during the night.
...sat. night we were at trailer village with 30 amp shore power....whole different story with our 800 watt ceramic heater plugged in.
guess your 2304ks must have an insulation package...[or you slept thru the heater cycling ] ...cant beat a 4 season package that you had before...i wish i had that.

I am hearing impaired, so don't hear the furnace. My wife is soothed by the gray noise, and actually enjoys it.

I also supplement my furnace with the free electric heat, I just don't run the electric heater while sleeping. JMHO
