The only living thing I'd want in a trailer bigger than a mouse (And I don't want mice in the trailer) would be someone who is trying to kill me... and that's only because hies odds of living are lower than mine (If I'm in the tow vehicle) by a very large margin.

In short. If you love it.. and it's alive. Keep it out of the trailer when in motion.

Home is where I park it!

Our three cats ride in the TV with us. They're in crates or cages. I don't like the idea of what could happen to them in an accident should they be lose in the TT.

Always in the truck secured with a veri=kennel. I was told that in Arizona and other states it is illegal to travel with a pet in the trailer ... anyone else ever hear of this?

Both of our dogs (one is 45lbthe other 50lb) ride in the truck on the backseat. We have a zip line across the back and the dogs are tied to it via a harness. Gives them a bit of motion and prevents them from being thrown forward in the event of a hard stop or from interfering with our driving. Can't imagine leaving them in the trailer -- loose or in crates.

The ride quality in most trailers and fivers is abominably bad. Many have very minimal shock absorbers (even none!) and are not designed to be occupied. We aren't into towed accommodations, but I wouldn't leave an animal in a vehicle I wasn't also in unless it was parked.
