Cool Dometic Fridge in TT cycles on frequently

I have a problem with the dometic fridge in my TT. It cycles on for four (4) seconds, then off for eighteen (18) seconds. No kidding. I sat and counted through several cycles. This repetition goes on for the whole day. I don't think it's normal, but my husband thinks it's okay. I emptied it last trip and shut it off. Any advice?

Is your fridge is located in a slide out? If so, what you are hearing is the auxiliary fan located on the back of the cooling unit. Mine did it until I relocated the thermo-switch. Some genius placed it directly in the air path of the fan so as soon as the fan came on it cooled the switch and shut itself off.

I relocated mine on the tube to the far right away from the fans and now it cycles normally.

Unfortunately, you have to pull the refer to move it.

It's not on the slide-out. I find it very annoying when I'm inside the trailer and run the A/C fan so I don't have to hear it.
