I have a Dometic Refrigerator. Do we need to turn the climate control switch on at all times or just when hooked to campsite electricity or when on propane? Freezer is very cold and ices up and the door of the refrigerator doesn't seem to keep things cold.

I use the climate control any time that I am driving or connected to AC. It will pull the battery down if you are dry camping.

You will find a slide lever on the right side of the box by the coils. Move that lever up and you will make the refrigerator warmer. This device controls the mix between the ref. and the freezer. If you play around with the setting for the lever and the thermostat setting, you will get the correct mix.

Just my experience.
