Door peep hole

Has anyone installed a "peep hole" (like the type in your door at home) in their trailer door?

I'm not fond of the screen mesh design left on my face when pressing against it to have my eye on the peep hole

That's a good question

I simply "peep out" through a window.

On my coach a peephole added in the door would be either be to far from the floor... or to close to the floor ... to use conveniently, (because of the 12" X 20" window in the door).

I replaced the frosted glass in the door with a dark tinted clear glass like that in the rest of the windows so I can see out the door window. Now the trailer has all dark tinted glass and looks great.

Okey, I forgot about that screen door. Yes I can look out a window next to the door, but I am looking for a less obvious way of seeing who is at the door. 4x4, I think your way is the best, I know you have posted the info on replacing it on the ORV Forum. I would like to see what is outside before I add holes to the door of my trailer.

Thanks to all.

We had a Cedar Creek Silverback that had a peephole in each door. With the trailer pointed south the setting sun would shine in through the peephole similar to a pinhole camera. Other than that, I never had a use for them.
