Easy Care Extended Service Contract

We are still in the planning stage for our January trip to Florida. We're planning on traveling around FL for about 2 months. I was going through the paper work for our 2012 Springdale 298BHS and I realized that when we purchased the trailer last year, we also got the Easy Care Extended Warranty Service. It includes Roadside Assistance. As I was reading through the paperwork, I noticed that it said you have to have your service records with you if you make a claim. I called them and they said we could service it ourselves, it didn't have to be through a dealer but we had to record the service we performed. My question is, "Is this normal for most Roadside assistance companies?" What kind of service do you think they would be looking for? Has anyone else used this company and how fussy were they about the records? So far, we haven't recorded any of the service we did on the trailer but I'm sure we can backtrack and piece it together if we have to. We plan to give the trailer a thorough check before we hit the road. So far, it has been parked on a campsite and this is the first roadtrip so we want to make sure we don't miss anything.

Look in your appliance owner's manuals for their yearly recommended service. (Fridge, water heater, furnace, generator, etc.). Do the service yourself with notes and keep receipts for anything related that you buy.

Or better yet, keep an eye out for RV dealer/service center SPRING SPECIALS where they will check all your goodies for $99 and up.
