I think you just need to find why you lost 12V power.
Honestly I may never find out. Put a new switch in and no help. The previous owner tore so much out. And there may be something cut or missing somewhere from the floor removal. Where will my new 12v need to run? To the little circuit board?

No, you need it to the switch.

Check the tubes for mud wasps

I had issues with mine and I was sure it was not getting voltage ...it ended up being mud wasps filling the small tube so no gas could get in the valve...

That makes sense since there's no 12v power to the WH.

You can do that to test it, if it works then get a new set of switches wired through the fuse panel.

According to your manual, you could just run a 12v test wire to the terminal with the red wire ( in the junction box at the WH). The WH should fire up. If this works, then disconnect your test wire and try connecting it to your switch. If that works, then the switch is bad or no voltage to the switch. If it does not work then that original wire from the switch to the WH is broken somewhere. Good luck.
